AIoTtalk: Intelligent Extension of Quanta’s Cloud-based AIoT Platform and its Commercial Applications
In the development of Taiwan’s electronic-capital communication industry, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) has made considerable contributions to technology research, development and talent cultivation. In view of the increasingly fierce global science and technology competition, Quanta looks forward to strengthening the energy of both sides in scientific and technological research, engineering development and design production through the establishment of strategic cooperation with NYCU, and to form the Quanta-NCTU Joint AI Research Center to achieve the above objectives. This research center will develop the AIoTtalk platform based on commercial-grade Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analysis technologies to promote the development of applications such as intelligent agriculture, intelligent medicine, intelligent manufacturing, smart cities, intelligent transportation, to pay more attention to the investment of telecommunications, media, retail, e-commerce, finance, medical and other industries, which are inticipated to result in leading Taiwan’s industry to create a new AIoT paradigm.
In the past, NYCU developed IoT applications with the research tool IoTtalk. With the collaboration with Quanta, we will develop the commercial-grade tool. The four-year program will develop AIoTtalk platform that integrates NYCU’s IoTtalk and Quanta’s QOCA. Based on AIoTtalk, we deployed AgriTalk, an intelligent agriculture solution for commercialization. At the same time, we will also use AIoTtalk to conduct advanced research studies for the sustainable operations of CampusTalk, the intelligent campus applications including smart consulting, telemedical testing, smart education, smart home, etc. As a result, AgriTalk’s main performance is industrial and business impact, and CampusTalk’s main performance is in cultivating high-level research talent.
